New Guidelines for Videos
in the Ad Revenue Program
Hi creators!
Thanks for taking the time to read this very important blog post. We have new rules that must be met by creators earning money through the Ad Revenue program.
All videos in the Ad Revenue program are now subject to additional moderation.
Our moderators will check your videos:
- Are shot with a video quality of at least 480p and up
- Contain full scenes and are non-duplicates (more below)
- Have no ads or links to third-party sites
- Duration must be over 5 minutes
- Trailers are not allowed
Duplicate videos are ineligible for participation in the Ad Revenue program.
If you upload a 15-minute video and then upload its shorter 5-minute version, only one of these videos will be eligible to earn per views. The shorter video, like a part of the original 15-minute video, will be considered a duplicate and you won’t be paid for its views even if it becomes popular with the users.
Videos, as we said, will contain no ads apart from short promotions of your paysites or social media profiles. We allow use of 1 watermark if it is non-intrusive and is placed in the corners of the image or centered on the top or bottom of the image.
Only videos that meet all Ad Revenue program requirements will be earning from views, and they will get a unique creator’s badge to confirm that.
If you believe your video meets the above requirements and does not contain any prohibited content, please tick the check box “I want this video to earn money” during upload.
Thank you for your attention. If you have any questions, email us at [email protected]. We will happily get back to you ASAP.
With Love,
The xHamster Team
